Wilds Plein Air Classes with Elody Gyekis

Join the Wellsboro Art Club for a special weekend of creativity and inspiration with Pennsylvania artist and educator Elody Gyekis! Whether you are an experienced painter or just beginning, these Plein Air classes offer a unique opportunity to learn directly from a professional artist while surrounded by the beauty of our region.
On Friday, May 30th, Elody will lead a Plein Air Landscape Painting Class at Ives Run Park from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Participants are encouraged to bring their own painting materials and spend the day exploring landscape painting techniques, composition, color, and working outdoors in nature. Cost is $45.
On Saturday, May 31st, Elody will offer two youth painting classes at the Gmeiner Arts & Cultural Center:
• Ages 9–12: 10:30–11:30 AM — $10
• Ages 13–18: 1:30–3:30 PM — $15
All supplies are provided for the children’s classes.
Elody Gyekis is a Pennsylvania-based artist whose work is inspired by nature, mythology, and gender. She holds a BFA from Penn State and an MFA from the New York Academy of Art, where she currently teaches painting and drawing.
Come enjoy a weekend of art, learning, and creativity in beautiful Tioga County! Space may be limited, so early registration is encouraged.
