This unique play follows the life of a woman named Ernestine Ashworth as she ages from 17 to 101, focusing on her yearly birthday celebrations and the reflections on life, family, and mortality that come with each passing year, all while baking the same birthday cake (live on stage!) as the years pass. The play depicts both the ordinary moments and the significant experiences that make up a person's life, and how we find meaning through all of it.
