KC101 and Tioga Publishing are Hosting Candidate Forum for All County Commissioner Candidates

Monday, Oct. 23, 6:30pm at the Deane Center

Public Asked to Submit Questions 

KC101 and Tioga Publishing’s Wellsboro/Mansfield Gazette and Free Press-Courier are hosting a Candidate Forum for all candidates who are campaigning for the office of Tioga County Commissioner. The forum will be at 6:30pm on Monday, Oct. 23 in the Deane Center’s Coolidge Theatre at 104 Main Street in Wellsboro. Because newspaper and radio regulatory agencies require that equal treatment be given to all legally qualified candidates, those who have earned placement on the ballot as well as those who have announced their intent to conduct a write-in campaign are being invited to attend. “We are making every effort to hold a community-oriented event."

The event will be recorded and streamed on KC101 and Tioga Publishing’s websites and social media, and published in an article in our weekly newspapers to give people unable to attend a chance to learn about all of the candidates,” said Natalie Kennedy, Tioga Publishing managing editor. The host organizations are inviting other media to cover the forum, too, such as Wellsboro Home Page, WENY, WETM and the Sun Gazette.  “We are asking the community to submit questions for the forum as well. The questions will be reviewed and curated. Candidates will have an opportunity to review all questions before the event, but the final questions asked will be selected at random,” Kennedy said. “Because of size constraints at the host site and being our first attempt at hosting this type of event, we are limiting the audience to 100 people who will be chosen at random to attend.” Questions can be submitted to This email address is being protected from spambots.
