Blessing of the Animals & their Humans

A Blessing of Animals and their Humans will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Pearl and Charles Streets, Wellsboro.   The service will be held on the back lawn of the church or in its Parish Hall, if the weather is inclement. The back lawn and the Parish Hall face Walnut Street, behind UPMC Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital.

All pets are welcome, as long as vaccinated and restrained on a leash or in an appropriate carrier. In some cases in the past, participants have brought a photo of a beloved pet that might be frightened or harder for the pet parent to handle. The blessings are for the pet parents, too, even if the pet cannot attend.
