The Green, Wellsboro, PA
The Hometown Science Festival is Saturday, Sept. 23, from 12pm to 4pm outdoors on The Green in downtown Wellsboro. It is free and open to the public.
Featured will be hands-on science activities and demonstrations for children and families led by local scientists and science enthusiasts with a broad array of backgrounds in science. Presenters will include researchers, educators, students, natural resource managers, biologists, and citizen scientists. Among the many presenters will be staff and students from Mansfield University who will teach those attending how to extract DNA from strawberries and how to isolate microplastics from water.
