Spooky Themed Writer’s Open Mic Night

The next Writer’s Night Open Mic will be on Tuesday, Oct. 3 and have a spooky theme in honor of Halloween. Bring your spine-tingliest ghost stories, your scariest fiction or non-fiction or your most terrifying poems. 

Writer’s Open Mic Nights are also being held on Tuesdays, Nov. 7 and Dec. 5. Readings start at 7pm. Those who plan to read are asked to come early at 6:30pm to sign up for a 10-minute slot. Participants can BYOB or grab a cup of coffee and some snacks, and socialize a little with other writers and appreciative audience members. This free event is organized by Ashley Ensminger and Lyndsay Costley, who usually share a little of what they have been working on as well. This group met for years at Conspiracy Coffee Company in Mansfield, but moved to the Gmeiner Art and Cultural Center at 134 Main Street in Wellsboro this year when the members realized that the majority of them live in Wellsboro.

Those who attend do not have to be a writer. Just come to listen and enjoy. Those in the audience are asked not to record without permission.
