State Park Events
Date: April 28, 2018 08:00 AM

Members of the Tiadaghton Audubon Society will be leading Saturday Morning Birding Walks on April 7, 14, 21 and 28 and May 5, 12, 19 and 26 at Hills Creek State Park located on Hills Creek Road in Charleston Township, about 7 miles northeast of Wellsboro. Those who go on the walks will see many varieties of water and woodland birds that live in or migrate through the park. The walks are free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Meet at the Hills Creek State Park office at 111 Spillway Road, Wellsboro a little before 8am. Participants will leave promptly at 8am to drive to the nearby starting location. Bring binoculars and cameras and wear warm, subdued clothing and sturdy walking shoes. The walks can last up to two hours, are slow-paced and cover a limited distance. In case of inclement weather, the group may opt for a driving tour to several nearby key stops to keep participants dry. For updates on birds that have been seen in the area and helpful local birding information, email This email address is being protected from spambots.
