Shaw Festival Day Trip Offers Live Theatre Experience

Those who go on Hamilton-Gibson’s 14th annual Shaw Festival Day Trip on Saturday, May 5 will check into the lavish “Grand Hotel” where the lives of 10 hotel guests collide on one unforgettable night in Berlin in the Roaring Twenties. This musical is about what happens when people’s deepest, most desperate passions are unleashed. It soars with songs and dance numbers about love, betrayal, jealousy and murder. The performance will be in the 856-seat Festival Theatre in Niagara-on-the-Lake in Ontario, Canada. The one-day trip is open to adults and children accompanied by adults. All must have valid passports. Space is limited to 40 people. Benedict’s Bus Service will provide transportation. The bus will leave the Whitneyville terminal at 6:30am on May 5 and return by 10pm that night. Other boarding sites are available en route to Canada. The price is $135 per person, the same as last year. Included in the price is a seat for the show, transportation and hearing devices for those who request them. Meals are not included. Although immediate full payment is recommended, reservations with a $50 per person deposit will be accepted on a first-come basis. The balance is due by Friday, March 16. If fewer than 20 people sign up, full refunds will be made.
