Wellsboro Plein Air Festival

Celebrate creativity in the heart of nature at the Wellsboro Wilds Plein Air Art Competition & Festival, hosted by the Wellsboro Art Club! This family-friendly, three-day event invites artists, art lovers, and community members to observe, create, buy fresh original artwork, and mingle with local talent. Proceeds from the event support the Jane Weatherbee Art Scholarship Award for local graduating high school students.

Event Highlights

• Main Paint Out: Artists will capture breathtaking views across Tioga County throughout the weekend.

• Quick Draw Competition: A fast-paced, two-hour painting contest along historic Main Street.

• Prizes & Awards: Over $500 top prize for participating artists; winners will be announced during Sunday's reception.

• Art Sale: Purchase unique plein air pieces created live during the event at the final reception.

Schedule

• Friday: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM (In-person registration & reception, followed by an inspiring guest speaker)

• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

• Sunday: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM (Awards Ceremony & Art Sale)
