The Wellsboro Area Chamber of Commerce (WACC) is
a business organization designed to enhance the community for its
residents, area businesses and visitors. While WACC sponsors various
programs and events, it also serves as a vital resource for individuals
and companies that are interested in visiting or relocating to
our area. We consider membership an investment in the future success
of your business or corporation and in our community.
Our members ARE the Wellsboro Area Chamber of Commerce. Participation in
Chamber activities is vital - together we make a difference and build
a better future. Members are entitled to participate in the following
programs:
- How can I get personally involved?
- Friends of Wellsboro Program,
Individuals participating in this program are entitled to discounts
at participating restaurants, lodging, and retailers between
January 1 and March 31 (excluding Presidents Weekend).
- Chamber Dollars (CDs) are gift certificates that can be redeemed
at more than 70 area businesses.
- Internet Web Page Link. A link from your member
listing can
be added to your company’s website for an annual cost of
$85. On average, the Chamber of Commerce home page averages more
than 10,000 hits per month and hits to the individual web pages
average more than 30,000 per month. Add the following graphic to
your web page to show your support of the Chamber:
- For those businesses that do not have a website but wish to
have a web presence, the WACC’s web master will create
a single page promoting your business, and using data provided
by you, for a one-time cost of $195.

- Your logo
- One Photo – preferably digital

- Business flyers or brochures may be placed in the Chamber
office for display and distribution. There is no cost to members
for this service.
The following additional programs and services are provided by the Wellsboro Area Chamber of Commerce.
- Administer the Wellsboro Enhancement Program
- Coordinate consultants for various community projects (e.g.,
Green Restoration, Main Street Program, Historic District Designation)
- Industrial development services
- Produce various publications including the quarterly Enjoy!;
brochures including the Pennsylvania
Grand Canyon brochure, Wellsboro
Shopping Guide brochure and Retire
to Wellsboro brochure
- Distribute relocation packages
- Sponsor and conduct seminars
- Sponsor events and activities
- Provide tourist information services including assistance
with lodging, things to do and meal planning
